Everything you need to know about AI-powered story illustration with pintame
Getting Started
What is pintame?
pintame is an AI-powered platform that turns your written stories into beautifully illustrated books. You upload a manuscript, describe your characters, locations, and objects, choose an art style, and our AI generates consistent illustrations for every scene. See how it works →
What file formats can I upload?
pintame supports EPUB, PDF, TXT, and DOCX manuscript formats. Whether you have a short pamphlet or a full-length novel, you can upload it and start illustrating immediately.
Do I need any drawing or artistic skills?
Not at all. pintame is designed for storytellers, not illustrators. You describe your characters and world in words, and our AI handles all the visual creation. If you can write a story, you can illustrate it with pintame.
How long does it take to illustrate a story?
Most stories can be fully illustrated in minutes to a few hours, depending on the number of scenes. A typical children's book with 10-15 scenes takes about 15-20 minutes. Longer novels with 50+ scenes may take an hour or two.
AI Illustrations & Quality
Can AI really illustrate a book?
Yes. pintame's AI generates high-quality, publication-ready illustrations across multiple art styles. Our technology focuses specifically on story illustration, maintaining character and scene consistency that generic AI art tools cannot achieve.
How does character consistency work?
When you define a character in pintame, our AI creates a visual identity that persists across all illustrations. Your main character will look the same whether they appear in scene 1 or scene 100. This also applies to locations and objects — a sword, a village, or a magical artifact will remain visually consistent throughout your entire story.
Yes. pintame supports photo-to-character conversion. Upload a photo of a real person and our AI will generate a character based on their likeness, rendered in your chosen art style. This is perfect for creating personalized stories featuring family members or friends.
