Credit Terms of Use

Publisher AI uses a credit-based system to meter usage of AI-powered services, including but not limited to entity extraction, image generation, scene illustration, and ebook export. Credits are the sole currency for consuming these services on the Platform.

2.1 Purchased Credits

Purchased Credits are credits acquired through a one-time payment or subscription plan via the Platform. The applicable rates are listed on the Publisher AI Pricing Page. A purchase is confirmed when Publisher AI issues a confirmation (via email or in-app notification), at which point the credits are added to your account balance.

2.2 Subscription Credits

Subscription Credits are credits allocated as part of a recurring subscription plan. Subscription Credits are granted at the start of each billing cycle and do not roll over to the next billing period. Any unused Subscription Credits expire at the end of the billing cycle in which they were issued.

2.3 Promotional Credits

Publisher AI may, at its sole discretion, offer complimentary credits as part of sign-up bonuses, promotional campaigns, referral programs, or other incentives ("Promotional Credits"). Promotional Credits are subject to any terms specified at the time of issuance.

2.4 Earned Credits

Publisher AI may offer opportunities to earn credits through participation in community features, such as publishing works to the public gallery or other activities designated by Publisher AI from time to time.

3.1 Consumption

Credits are consumed when you use Platform services. The credit cost of each operation is determined by the type and complexity of the service requested. Credit costs for each service are displayed before you confirm the operation.

Common credit-consuming operations include:

• Entity Extraction — AI-powered extraction of characters, locations, and objects from your book text.
• Image Generation — Creating illustrations for scenes, characters, locations, and objects using AI models.
• Scene Illustration — Generating and composing visual scenes for your book.
• Ebook Export — Producing PDF and EPUB files with embedded illustrations.
• Cover Generation — Creating AI-generated book covers.

3.2 Rate Changes

Publisher AI reserves the right to modify credit costs for any service at any time. Changes to credit costs will be communicated via the Platform and will not retroactively affect credits already consumed. Continued use of the Platform after a rate change constitutes acceptance of the new rates.

3.3 Insufficient Balance

If your credit balance is insufficient for a requested operation, the operation will not be processed. You will be prompted to purchase additional credits or upgrade your subscription plan.

Credits automatically expire and are forfeited upon account closure or termination, regardless of type.

5.1 Non-Refundable

All credits issued by Publisher AI — whether Purchased, Subscription, Promotional, or Earned — are non-refundable and non-exchangeable for cash or any other form of compensation, except as required by applicable law.

5.2 Failed Operations

If an operation fails due to a Platform error (not caused by user input), the credits consumed by that operation will be automatically refunded to your account balance. Publisher AI will make reasonable efforts to detect and process such refunds promptly.

5.3 Subscription Cancellation

If you cancel a subscription plan, you will retain access to any remaining Subscription Credits until the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds will be issued for unused Subscription Credits.

6.1 Non-Transferable

Credits are personal to your account. You may not sell, transfer, assign, gift, or otherwise convey credits to any other person, entity, or account.

6.2 No Cash Value

Credits have no monetary value outside the Platform, are not legal tender, and cannot be redeemed for cash or cash equivalents.

6.3 Account Limits

Publisher AI may impose limits on the maximum number of credits that can be held in an account at any given time, or on the rate at which credits may be purchased or consumed, to prevent abuse.

6.4 Prohibited Conduct

Publisher AI reserves the right to suspend, revoke, or forfeit credits — without refund — if it determines, in its sole discretion, that credits were obtained or used through:

• Fraud, deception, or exploitation of Platform errors or vulnerabilities.
• Automated or scripted activity designed to accumulate credits improperly.
• Violation of the Terms of Service or these Credit Terms.
• Any activity that disrupts the Platform or harms other users.

Publisher AI may offer an auto-reload feature that automatically purchases additional credits when your balance falls below a designated threshold. By enabling auto-reload, you authorize Publisher AI to charge your designated payment method for the reload amount at the time the threshold is reached. You may disable auto-reload at any time through your account settings. Charges are non-refundable once processed.

Credits grant access to Platform services but do not affect intellectual property rights. You retain full ownership and commercial rights to all content you create using the Platform, subject to the Terms of Service. For the avoidance of doubt, purchasing or using credits does not grant Publisher AI any ownership interest in your content.

You can view your current credit balance, transaction history, and usage details at any time through your account dashboard. Publisher AI will make reasonable efforts to ensure that balance information is accurate and up to date.

Publisher AI reserves the right to modify these Credit Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least thirty (30) days before they take effect. Your continued use of credits after the effective date of any modification constitutes your acceptance of the updated Credit Terms.
